Students need to have a strong visual literacy in order to be able to respond not only to the exam questions with evidence, but also to be able to converse in the language of art. Students would need to know artist, title, date. Also they would need to be able to classify the movement and be able to identify what exam application the image could be used for. This would be the basic list for the beginning of Stage 6. By the end of Stage 6 students would be expected to know these images plus an equivalent amount of contemporary artists.
